As the leaves turn from green to striking reds and golds, and the air takes on that fresh, crisp feel, our hometown of Arrowtown is gearing up for one of the best times of the year — the 39th annual Arrowtown Autumn Festival.
From 24th to 27th April 2025, our charming little town will be buzzing with life as locals and visitors come together to celebrate everything we love about autumn.
The festival’s been running since 1965 and has grown from a small, local harvest gathering into a much-loved tradition that attracts over 20,000 people each year.
It’s all about community, creativity, and those stunning autumn colours that make Arrowtown feel like the most enchanting place on earth!
Best of all, around 70% of the events are free, so everyone can join in.

The Official Opening Ceremony:
Kick things off with a warm, welcoming celebration of Arrowtown’s heritage and that unbeatable community spirit we all love.
Bayleys Arrowtown Festival Parade:
Get ready for a parade packed with creativity! Think floats, costumes, live music, and all the local flair you can handle as it winds its way through town.
ASB Market Day:
Ramshaw Lane turns into a bustling hub of handcrafted treasures, artisan goodies, and mouth-watering local food. Come hungry and ready to explore!
Pie, Pint, and Pinot:
The ultimate autumn trio — gourmet pies, craft beers, and some of Central Otago’s finest pinot noirs. It’s a major highlight and an absolute must for Sam and Hels!
Kids’ Workshops and Performances:
From crafty sessions to live shows, there’s plenty to keep the little ones entertained and grinning from ear to ear.
